North Charleston: One Clear Timeline Behind A Deadly DUI Conviction

We are proud to have assisted the investigators at North Charleston, SC, who used Lumyx to assemble the digital evidence behind a deadly DUI conviction: Snapchat photos, bar receipts, texts, and a 0.247 BAC result, all pulled into one clear timeline for the jury.
For a crash that killed two 17-year-old boys, the jury found the defendant guilty of two counts of felony DUI resulting in death and two counts of reckless homicide. The judge imposed two consecutive 17.5-year sentences, 35 years in total, and withheld sentencing on the reckless homicide counts (Post and Courier report on the verdict and sentencing).
This Live 5 News report shows a few moments of the Lumyx presentation.
What the timeline did
Photos, receipts, messages, and a lab result each come from a different source, in a different format. On one timeline, the jury saw them in the order they happened, as one sequence instead of separate exhibits.
